After EotN install;Tormented shield gone! - Guild Wars Forums

I am a noob. Only been playing GW for 2 months. I own Prophicies . I have managed to obtain some very nice items via trading. One such item is my Tormented Strength Shield. I have been using it since I was level 12 and I am now level 20.

Today I installed "Eye of the North". I started the quest from Lion'sGate and began venturing until I reached the "Hall of Monuments". Now I was using a Zodiac axe and shield not my Tormented shield. As I began to check out my Hall and experiment with how to add weapons and pets, I noticed my Tormented shield was no longer in my inventory! Ugggg! I paid alot for it. I searched all my characters, storage chests, bags, everywhere. Its just disapeared. It is the only item I am missing! I understand that the hall will only display Destroyer and Tormented items.

Someone please help! I already emailed Support but havent received a response yet.

The Hall of Monuments doesn't 'take' weapons. When you decide to display a destroyer or tormented weapon, the weapon gets customized to the character that displays it.

You said you were using (had equipped?) a different shield. Where did you leave the tormented shield? Perhaps on a hero? In eotn you get heroes that you can customize, including giving them weapons. Add your heroes to your party and in your inventory select them by clicking on their heads. Check their weapon loadouts. Perhaps you accidentally gave it to one of them.

You might have equipped it on a hero/character who is holding a two-handed weapon?

I tend to forget that the off-hand is still equipped even though it is unusable, so it won't show in the inventory.

EDIT: Didn't notice that you set up three whole threads in different sub-forums and Marty already helped you out..... Close your threads before more people start to needlessly post.
